Gerard Metal Tile Roofing in Palmerston North & Manawatū

Gerard metal tiles combine the classic look of a traditional tiled roof with the strength of steel. As Gerard-accredited installers, R.J.S Roofing installs Gerard roofing on new builds and re-roofs across Palmerston North and the wider Manawatū.

Why choose Gerard metal tiles

• Classic appearance. Profiles that recreate the look of a traditional tile roof, including stone-chip coated options with a textured, natural finish.
• Strong and lightweight. Steel tiles weigh a fraction of concrete or clay, which reduces the load on your home’s structure.
• Made for New Zealand. Gerard roofing is designed and made in New Zealand for local wind, rain and UV.
• Low maintenance. It holds its colour well and needs very little upkeep.

Styles and colours

Gerard offers a range of tile profiles, from traditional shake and tile shapes to clean contemporary designs, in a choice of colours. We’ll help you choose the style that suits your home and its surroundings.

Why accreditation matters

A Gerard roof is a complete system, with tiles, flashings and fixings designed to work together. As accredited installers, we’re trained in Gerard’s installation methods, so your roof is fitted to the manufacturer’s specifications and performs as intended.

How we install

Every Gerard roof is installed by Licensed Building Practitioners with more than 20 years’ experience. We take care over the details that decide how a tiled roof looks and performs: ridges, valleys, flashings and penetrations. Sites are kept tidy throughout, and old roofing is removed and disposed of responsibly.

New builds and re-roofs

For builders: reliable scheduling, quality workmanship, and a Record of Work provided for all consented work.

For homeowners: we replace old concrete tile and iron roofs with new Gerard metal tiles, managing the whole process from removal to final clean-up.
